Daily Life in Malaysia Travelogue: Speed Trap Locations in Highway

Posted: 12 Sep 2011 02:41 AM PDT

Not sure how accurate is this information that was passed to via email. I thought it might be helpful to fellow highway travellers to keep a look out for this speed trap devices attached under the bridges. I have not seen any of them yet, so will just keep this info for reference for now. Sometimes we do receive misinformation. It is kind of difficult to verify this until I see the speed trap device myself.

Meanwhile, drive safe and keep to the speed limit. I know sometimes it is kinda boring to drive at 110 kph at most stretches and extremely boring when driving 90 kph at certain stretches. I find the most comfortable speed seemed to be at 120 kph which is not too fast and not too slow but unfortunately the traffic law for Malaysian highways and expressways maximum is only 110 kph.

So have to obey the traffic rule or else get slap with a summons. And then wait until the PDRM gives a reprieve and discount to settle your summon. Well, seem to be on going activity every few years so I'm holding on till the next discounting exercise! Haha!
