Gun Shooting @ Kelab Penembak Bandar Di Raja Klang - aliesez.com Posted: 20 Jun 2011 09:12 AM PDT Guns.. the last time I held something close to one was a paintball marker, and that was already quite exhilarating. This time, however, I manage to get this awesome chance to shoot a real gun! The real thing! Woo hoo!!! Actually, many shooting clubs only allow members to shoot firearms – not any ah chee, ah kaw can just pay some fee, grab a gun and go trigger-happy. However, Wingz, William, Aaron and myself, we got this deal from Groupon which is RM199 for two persons to shoot a pistol and a shotgun. So, I shared with Wingz, while Aaron and William shared a package. The Groupon package includes 40 9mm bullets and 12 shotgun slugs for two persons. Sounds very little right? (T_T) Well, we manage to find our way to the shooting club in Klang. The places is somewhere next to Fairy Park, Klang and if you got a GPS, maybe you can try to get there using Kampung Subang back roads. The place was packed with newbies; probably those who also bought the same deal as we did from Groupon. The club kinda ran out of earmuffs for us as the other bystanders were also using them. It was like a pasar malam! Thanks to Mr Liang, the Secretary General of the Klang Shooting Club, he lent me his earplugs before I go deaf. Haha. We waited a while for the rest to finish before we started. Wingz went first, then William and Aaron, and myself last. Each station has a committee member giving instructions and guiding on the use of the pistol. Safety measures are also briefed and at the beginning we are given two bullets to fire to tryout. We started firing the targets at 5m and if you feel a bit more confident, you can go 10m or 15m. In this session, we used Glocks which fires 9mm bullets. At first I was quite apprehensive about the recoil/kickback, but I think the Glock is somewhat user-friendly – the kickback isn't horrible. I was still careful at first. I don't want to be like this girl… Anyway, we all took turns firing our 20 bullets. To be honest, that number of bullets isn't enough.. before I knew it, it was all gone. (T_T) .. Btw, I have no idea why I look so fat when I am shooting guns. Gah. (O.o) The bullets are put in the magazine by the "tutor". But if you think you wanna try, they are willing to teach. It isn't very easy to push the bullets in though.. I shot 20 9mm bullets and this is my target.. not too bad for the first time I must say. Hehehe. I shot at 10m. (^_^) Shotgun is a whole different story. The kickback is greater and the weight of the shotgun isn't easy to manage. We were given a chance to shoot a double-barrel shotgun or an automatic shotgun. The double-barrel needs to be reloaded every two shots, but the automatic can take more. The kickback isn't super bad if you take the proper stance but for someone like me who is small and a tofu, it would probably kick me in the face. Haha. I suppose most of you would ask, how much does it cost to shoot? Ok, here is the gist of it.. Associate Member Ordinary Member Life Member In order to shoot at the club, you need to be a member. Each member is allowed to bring a friend to shoot there, but only for maximum three times. For members, 50 rounds of 9mm bullets cost RM80. The rental of the guns are free as long as you are a member of the club. For more information, you can contact Mr. Liang, Secretary General of the club. (^_^) Kelab Penembak Bandar Di Raja Klang |
