Customer Service Representative
(Kuala Lumpur - Ulu Kelang Free Trade Zone, 54200 Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

  • Function as part of a worldwide team supporting EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) accounts. Support order management activities in the Americas and is the primary support person for assigned EMS accounts in the AsiaPac region (starting with SE Asia).This position is a combination of Sales Administrative activities and functions and responsible for all aspects of customer support on assigned accounts on a worldwide basis.
  • Interact with customers prior to and/or after sale.  Specific responsibilities include order management (quotes, bookings, rescheduling and the coordination of expedites). Develop and maintain positive customer relations; coordinate with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.  This position has authority to substantially affect the relationship between the company and a customer, either from a financial standpoint or product standpoint.  Focus of work can be in pre-sale or post-sale or both.
  • Work closely with WW EMS team to link Opportunities to facilitate RFQ process
  • Proactive management of backlog and VMI hub (if applicable)
  • Visit key EMS locations at least once a year to enhance working relationship

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE:  Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.  This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.     

 

JOB COMPLEXITY:  Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.  

 

EXPERIENCE:  Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience. 

Responds all customer inquiries (Coordinates as necessary with other functional areas including but not  limited to Operations Planning, Quality and Reliability and Customer Engineering) Understands customer purchasing and quality specifications and assures Intersil compliance or obtains deviations/waivers as necessary
