Dear Sirs, Re : 1) What ever happened to Midlands Tamil School land within I-City development at Section 7, Shah Alam – seeking Information further to Freedom of Information Act 2011. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We refer to the above matter wherein we act for Hindraf, Mr. A. Devadass a former Midlands Estate Action Committee member and Mr. M. Varatharaju, a social activist. Our clients inform us that further to a letter from the Shah Alam City Council addressed to Hindraf dated 8/1/2008 it has been acknowledged under Appendix 1 in particular on Peta 28 outlining the exact location of the Midlands Tamil schools within the i-City Development. (Copy of letter dated 8/1/08 enclosed herewith).
Our client Mr. M. Varatharajoo had on 25/4/12 at about 2.40 p.m appeared at the Shah Alam City Hall and was assigned to one Puan Zahidah Abu Samah, Juruteknik Bahagian Perancang Bandar to attend to the aforesaid Peta 28 serach. Puan Zahidah had refused to hand over to our client a copy of the said Peta 28 saying that it could not be given to private individuals, but only to any other government department. Our client was only granted a copy of the latest map with no records of the said Peta 28 for which our client had to pay a Further to the Freedom of Information Act 2011 (Selangor) kindly let us have a copy of the said Peta 28 vide Reference Plan bearing reference number MBSA/PRG/PSA 7B-8-07 on 28/6/2007 within fourteen (14) days from the date hereof. In the interim kindly confirm:- 1. Why the said Midlands Tamil School land alienated within the i City development that had already been gazetted so as in the said letter dated 8/1/2008 in particular Peta 8 was subsequently was sold to i City? 2. What was the price of the said four (4) acres land that was sold to i City? 3. What is the market price of the same today? 4. Whether the proceeds of the sale was passed on for the development of this school? 5. Further to the Bernama newsreport dated 2/11/2009, kindly confirm if the decision to move this school out of the I City development land is so as for it not to affect the private investments to the tune of RM 2 Billion as at 2009.(copy of the newsreport is enclosed herewith). 6. What was the Selangor state government's actual financial contribution to this new school?
8. Kindly also forward to us a copy of the Agreement with the private management company of the said Tamil school's Convention Centre. 9. Posted: 26 Apr 2012 05:13 PM PDT 8:13 AM | Posted by Desperado SHAH ALAM: Penuntut sesi pagi sebuah sekolah menengah di sini, gempar apabila empat pelajar perempuan diserang histeria dalam surau sekolah berkenaan, semalam.Difahamkan kejadian berlaku kira-kira jam 10 pagi itu menyebabkan keadaan menjadi cemas sebelum pelajar terbabit ditenangkan guru. Seorang pekerja yang enggan dikenali berkata, kejadian histeria tidak pernah berlaku di sekolah berkenaan sebelum ini, namun beberapa minggu kebelakangan ini, berlaku beberapa kejadian histeria. Dia yang sudah beberapa tahun bekerja di sekolah berkenaan tidak pernah berdepan dengan peristiwa itu dan bingung kejadian histeria sering berlaku tanpa diketahui puncanya. "Sepanjang saya bertugas, kejadian histeria tak pernah berlaku. Tetapi saya bingung kerana kebelakangan ini berlaku beberapa kejadian histeria dan pelajar perempuan menjadi mangsa. "Pelajar menjerit seperti dirasuk makhluk halus dan hanya kembali tenang beberapa minit kemudian selepas ditenangkan guru termasuk mereka yang mahir ilmu agama," katanya sewaktu ditemui semalam.
